Beyond Call Date List

Hello Doug,

You had mentioned that some of the issues on the Beyond Call Date List were no longer trading. If a preferred issue still has its shares "in the wild" and hasn't been called, why would it no longer be trading?

Thanks!

Carl

Hello Carl-
The Beyond Call Date list on the subscriber's website lists all preferred stocks that have been issued since January 2001 that have exceeded their five-year call date. They meet the CDx3 Selection Criteria in all other respects so for many preferred stock investors they can be worth consideration.

While most of these old-timers are still trading, some are not since they have been called by the issuing company (the issuing company of a CDx3 preferred stock regains the right to buy your shares back from you five years after the issue is introduced).

I do not know of any other reason that a preferred stock listed in the Beyond Call Date list would no longer be trading. Such issues have been called.

Many Happy Returns.

Sorry Doug, I misunderstood.

Maybe a future enhancement to the Beyond Call Date list would be to cull the issues that have already been called. It would make it easier to dig through the list.

Another possible enhancement would be to allow subscribers to sort all lists by column.

And finally, maybe a column or two could be added showing the most recent price and yields similar to the Bargain Table.

Of course, these ideas could be expanded to all the lists in the Dashboard. :<)

Thanks Carl.

In addition to a variety of other information, you can see the current market price by clicking on the trading symbol of any currently trading preferred stock listed in the Beyond Call Date list.

Regarding culling issues that are no longer trading, the Beyond Call Date list is used by subscribers with many varying objectives. For example, people researching past issues find the prospectus link very helpful, whether or not the issue is still trading. Culling the list of issues that are no longer trading would remove this resource.

The Beyond Call Date list is used by many people for many reasons.

By the way, you can highlight the entire table and copy it into Excel or other spreadsheet application for sorting, searching or tabulating.

Many Happy Returns.
